Occupation: School teacher, 11 years Duval county
Education: Bachelors degrees in Political Science and Psychology
What do you see as the top three issues in this race?
1) A lack of rigor in our classes, we aren’t preparing enough kids to be productive citizens. We need to teach kids a work ethic.
2) A lack of discipline in our schools. Kids need to learn consequences for behavior
3) Low teacher morale, we can’t treat our teachers like second class citizens, give them all the responsibility and none of the authority and put them in positions where success is unlikely and expect to succeed as a school district.
How can you help voters in a way that the others running for this office cannot?
Better governance, when I am elected I will end the practice of secret votes because I will refuse to participate in them.

A shot in the arm to teachers, as a long time teacher, Teachers will finally feel as if they have a representative that cares about them
A teacher’s perspective, as a teacher I have a much better understanding on what will work and what won’t work in our classrooms.
What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?
For doing things the right way even if it was more difficult.
