Why is it okay to the Times Union that Betty Burney lies to the public but not that Jason Fischer does?

Kristopher Brooks wrote an article about Jason Fischer potentially misleading people about being the navy. He didn’t write an article about how Betty Burney lied to the public during her opening statements of the superintendent deliberations. She said she has lost money being on the school board when the truth is her income has gone up by about 70 percent. 

The answer is neither should be okay and if one is news the other should be news too.

Friends this is just more evidence showing that those that are supposed to inform us are either lying down on the job or are driven by personal agendas.
